This is what I've been doing for the past 3 months. 9-foot tall tetris in the front yard. It is run on an arduino and is controlled by a playstation 2 controller. Each led is gently stuffed into a ping-pong ball and glued in place. The leds are held in place by a grid of network cables(world wide web, amirite?) which are tied to a rigid PVC pipe frame. -160 Ping pong balls. ~300 feet of network cable -30 feet of PVC pipe -4x MAX7221 -9x4 feet -price under $200 MacGyver would be proud. Satan4.0 had some trouble which brought down randomosity 2 weeks ago. But we could rebuild him, we had the technology, so say hello to Satan4.1

Satan4.1 boasts a raid array to prevent data loss, backed up onto a removable backup drive. The new system is also behind a firewall which for now seems estonia-proof.
